"I gave birth to my daughter in May in the height of the pandemic. I was struggling with pain with nursing and was so lucky to find Mary Ellen. I was a little concerned about how much could be done over telehealth, but from the first visit, Mary Ellen helped me and my daughter. The entire process was seamless and safe. She was able to coordinate a pre and post nursing weight to see how much my daughter was taking. Mary Ellen was also able to diagnose my daughter with a lip and tongue tie over video."

"We had trouble with breastfeeding from the beginning, with weight loss and multiple other challenges. Coming home from the hospital was overwhelming, and we were very fortunate to find Mary Ellen. Because of the pandemic, all of our visits were by Zoom, which was effective and also convenient. She was able to assess my son's latch and swallowing by video and even dropped off a scale prior to our visits to assess his milk transfer. Additionally, on top of the latch itself, she helped with positioning, regulation of supply, and weaning supplements and nursing aids. She sends detailed follow-up instructions and resources and even takes care of insurance reimbursement forms. Mary Ellen is incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and available; with her support, by around 7 weeks I was able to exclusively breastfeed my son without any pain or difficulty which has been wonderful. We are so appreciative of all that she's done for us."

"My son’s oral anatomy made breastfeeding very challenging in the early months of his life. Mary Ellen offered me seemingly endless support through the early days of figuring out our feeding issues, milk supply concerns, breast strikes, and nipple soreness. I lost track of the number of times I called her, frustrated and often in tears, and hung up reassured and encouraged that things were going to be okay. Mary Ellen has played an essential role in easing my way into the world of new motherhood, and I’m so grateful that she was there to help me persevere in establishing a successful breastfeeding relationship with my son.”

“I didn’t quite know what to expect when I looked for a lactation consultant, I just knew I needed help. C-section, formula given at birth for low blood sugar, poor latch and a multitude of other issues were making breast feeding so difficult and frustrating.
I am so so grateful I found Mary Ellen. She is not only a very knowledgeable lactation consultant but also a wonderful friend, baby whisperer, therapist and fairy godmother all rolled into one with an encouraging can do attitude. She was so kind and patient and always available for questions or much needed reassurance.
I honestly never thought we could get to the point of exclusive breast feeding but she got us there in just a few weeks and it’s been so worth it.
Thanks to Mary Ellen my daughter is now 4 months old and thriving. I had thought originally that making it to 3 months would be a miracle, now am fully confident we can easily make it to 1 year! We are both so grateful!”

“You’re truly the single most helpful resource we’ve had since getting pregnant. Without your help and the amazing attention you pay not just to nursing matters but to the entire new family situation, we would be so behind on taking care of important health aspects that can be resolved quickly when noticed soon enough (like the tongue tie). I feel like you played THE central role in helping us turn a rocky start to parenting into a beautiful experience!”
